The job
Supporting the Head Housekeeper in the day-to-day running of our holiday lodges, this role involves ensuring a quick and efficient turnaround on check-in days. Duties include cleaning and maintenance of lodges, cleaning and testing hot tubs, deep cleaning accommodation and main facility buildings, and preparing our events venue to the highest standards and in line with set work schedules.
As a Venue and Lodge Housekeeper, you will help maintain the exceptional quality standards High Lodge is known for across both our hospitality spaces and holiday accommodation. You will be responsible for the full guest preparation cycle — from deep cleaning event suites after functions to meticulously preparing and staging lodges for new arrivals — ensuring every guest experiences a welcoming, spotless, and high-quality environment.
• Carry out full cleaning and preparation of holiday lodges prior to guest arrivals.
• Complete quick turnaround cleans on changeover days to meet check-in deadlines.
• Deep clean lodges, event suites, and communal areas to maintain high presentation standards.
• Clean, maintain, and test hot tubs in line with health and safety procedures.
• Replenish guest amenities, linen, towels, and housekeeping supplies as required.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with the setup, cleaning, and turnaround of the events venue before and after functions.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, cleaning schedules, and COSHH regulations.
• Maintain a professional and positive approach when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of the housekeeping team.
• Help ensure all hospitality spaces are always presented to an exceptional standard.
What you'll need
Must have full UK driving licence as driving on site is essential.
Must be reliable, hard working able to work on own and in a team.
This is an active role so would suit a physically fit and active individual who is capable of lifting/carrying heavier items.

High Lodge is based at Hinton, Suffolk, close to Darsham - IP17 3QT
What you'll receive
£13.25 per hour employed
Full time role working 35-40 hours per week
Working days of Monday, Friday, and Saturday guaranteed, with a rota for the remainder of the week
