The employer

Award-winning building contractor, specialising in the restoration and conservation of churches and notable buildings throughout East Anglia.

The job

Working closely with the directors, contracts managers, and quantity surveyors, you will be responsible for managing residential projects, predominantly on historic and period properties from £300k to £2m in value. Your role will predominantly be the organisation or labour and materials, health & safety and liaising with the client.

What you'll need

Extensive experience as a Site Manager overseeing high-end residential projects
Appreciation of traditional techniques required for period properties
Experienced construction professional, preferably from a carpenter or bricklayer trade
Current SMSTS or SSSTS preferred however can be arranged as part of training.
Willingness to work with a hands-on mentality to get projects over the line.
A Full UK driving licence

Where you'll be based

Your first project will be a £600k refurbishment near Hadleigh, Suffolk, with all future projects within 50 miles of the companies Bury St Edmunds office.

What you'll receive

- £43,000 - £48,000 per annum dependent on experience
- Employed role (permanent contract)
- Company van (possibly car)
- Monday to Friday working week
