The Wentworth Hotel in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, is a country house hotel with exceptional sea views, who's kitchen pride themselves on preparing delicious cuisine made with fresh local produce.
The job
As Senior Sous Chef you will support the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen operation, cooking fine food to a very high standard, contributing to rota management, ordering, hygiene compliance, and running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. You'll have freedom to contribute to menus, coming up with ideas and developing dishes alongside the team whilst keeping costs in mind.
What you'll need
Relevant experience at sous or head chef level in a similar environment
Calm under pressure and a leader by example
Experienced and competence in all sections of the kitchen
A good communicator

The Wentworth Hotel holds a prominent location on Aldeburgh seafront, on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
What you'll receive
£38,000 per annum
Accommodation in the form of a 3 bedroom house at a nominal rent (bills not included)
Typical rota will include Saturday evening, Sunday, and Monday as days off
Share of tips
Employed role (permanent contract) 45 hour week
