The job

As Senior Accountant you will work directly with the founder to actively contribute to the growth and development of the firm. You'll provide a full suite of accountancy support to a varied portfolio of clients, ranging in size from small businesses to those with turnovers of up to £11m.
You will be preparing management accounts, year end accounts, tax computations and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in line with regulatory and internal requirements;
Liaising directly with clients on matters as they arise and other professional contacts to ensure services are delivered to the best standard possible and build trusted relationships;
Supporting the firm’s growth by identifying new opportunities and actively engaging to develop these where possible;
Offering business advisory support to clients through diverse forms;
Tax and long-term wealth planning.

What you'll need

You should hold the ICAEW/ACCA qualification, or be able to demonstrate that you are qualified by experience to a similar level.
Proven track record of managing a client portfolio
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects/deadlines with a proactive approach.
Willingness to work at clients premises as required
Must have previous recent experience within a UK practice environment preparing accounts and tax returns for both unincorporated and corporate clients.
Previous exposure to agricultural sector clients would be advantageous – but is not essential.
Experience of using Microsoft Office, accounting software Sage and Xero.
Excellent communication skills: confident and articulate in dealing with a wide range of clients.
Tenacious, thorough, with a self-motivated attitude, expert eye for detail and good organisational skills.
Driving licence and transport due to location

Where you'll be based

The offices are based in close to Framlingham, Suffolk, with hybrid working available (minimum two days presence in the office)

What you'll receive

£45,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience
