Brewer, hotelier, & wine merchant with 13 stores across East Anglia offering an award-winning selection of beers, wines and handcrafted spirits, as well as homeware and food ranges.

The job

As Retail Activity Manager you will be the central retail representative for activity planning, promotional
campaigns and overseeing new product development for the medium term. Working In collaboration
with SME's and key stakeholders and appropriate suppliers, you'll be responsible for timely and
clear communication to the retail estate in order to achieve consistency of implementation and
merchandising standards across the retail estate
You'll manage the retail Activity Plan in conjunction with the Head of Retail and engage with the shop
teams to clearly communicate retail priorities and activities, aligned to the business strategy. You will also:
- Produce and share merchandising guidelines to ensure our shops are beautifully presented and
welcoming to our customers.
- Proactively plan promotional activity for the forthcoming quarter ensuring all activities achieve target
GP’s or growth in volume margin i.e. will make us more money.
- Collaborate with the Retail Stock & Systems Controller to create bundles, USO’s and appropriate
pricing
- Work in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure campaigns and promotions are aligned to
the business strategy and implemented in accordance with expectations.
- Plan the calendar for external supplier tastings & activities in stores balancing availability and
operational requirements.
- Liaise with external visual collateral suppliers to meet installation timelines.
- Identification of merchandise opportunities to grow retail sales across our shops and eCommerce
business and collaborate with the Buying Teams for product development. Lead any product/packaging sourcing to meet retail requirements, not covered by the Buying Team.
- Play an integral role in new initiatives and projects impacting store operations.

What you'll need

Experience of retail operations
Working knowledge of retail systems
High standards of product merchandising skills
Project management skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Full UK driving licence and transport

Where you'll be based

You will be based in the flagship store in the centre of Southwold, Suffolk

£30,000 per annum
