The employer
A private family home in an outstanding setting
The job
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and presentation of the grounds and gardens, including meadows, lawns, hedges, trees, outdoor areas, lakes and waterways.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys turning their hand to a wide range of tasks. Alongside the grounds, you’ll assist with the general maintenance and upkeep of the main house, outbuildings, facilities and swimming pool, carrying out practical jobs and ensuring everything is kept to a high standard.
Your main focus will be the 15 acres immediately surrounding the main house, while also helping to look after additional properties as required.

What you'll need
Experience in gardening or grounds maintenance
Experience in using and maintaining horticultural equipment and machinery
Experience in property maintenance
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, in a physically demanding role
Full UK driving licence due to rural location
Willing to undergo a full DBS check
Trustworthy, organised, and proactive

What you'll receive
£35,000 per annum, based on a 40-hour working week
Additional hours paid as overtime
