The employer

Heveningham Hall is a privately owned and occupied Georgian country house, with extensive gardens restored to Capability Brown's original - but never implemented - designs by noted English landscape architect Kim Wilkie. It's estate extends to 8000+ acres of parkland and woodland.

The job

You'll be working as part of the estate team, completing a wide variety of tasks dependent on the season. These will include, but are not limited to, digging, trenching, laying turf, tree work, mowing, edging, strimming, and general landscaping duties.

You'll be expected to use a wide variety of horticultural and agricultural machinery and heavy equipment. This is an excellent grounds maintenance role for someone who loves the outdoors.

What you'll need

A background in estate work or agriculture
Experience of operating a range agricultural and horticultural machinery
PA1, PA6, PA2, Chainsaw Crosscutting & Maintenance (desired but not essential)
Physically fit with a love of working outdoors (in all weathers!)
Ability to work in a small team, with great communication skills
A Full UK driving licence and your own transport to get to the estate (use of Land Rover Defenders while on the estate)

Where you'll be based

The estate spans 8000 acres, from Heveningham to Sibton to Yoxford. You'll be expected to have your own transport to get to the estate each day.

What you'll receive

- £21,000 - £25,000 per annum (employed) dependent on experience
- Full time permanent employment based on a minimum of 40 hours per week (7:30am-4:15pm)
- Limitless overtime available (and encouraged) including weekends
