The employer
Cambridge Past, Present & Future is an ambitious and growing local charity that protects the beauty of Cambridge and its environment. They own and care for Wandlebury Country Park, Coton Countryside Reserve, Bourn Windmill, Hinxton Watermill and Cambridge Leper Chapel. These are important and special places including two scheduled monuments, a grade I listed building and County Wildlife Site.
The job
As Estates Manager you will provide first class management of charities land and properties to improve their wonderful buildings, countryside and facilities. You'll create a programme of capital repairs and improvement projects, as well as integrating this work into annual financial planning. The role also encompasses the management of the parkland and countryside, overseeing a dedicated team., so experience of land management as well as property management is paramount.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be part of a friendly and committed management team where you can make a difference and your work will have an impact.
What you'll need
Experience of both land and property management
Inspiring and effective manager and leader
Ability to liaise with stakeholders including agents, contractors, partners, and staff
Commercial and financial experience
Excellent communication skills
A full UK driving licence
Where you'll be based
The office is in an 18th century building overlooking the beautiful Wandlebury estate, just south of Cambridge and easily commutable from West Suffolk
What you'll receive
£42,000 per annum FTE
Working week of 30-37.5 hours to suit your requirements
33 days annual leave including bank holidays
