The job
As Gardener you will provide essential support to the Head Gardener in the maintenance and care of gardens, landscapes, and grounds. You'll assist with a variety of gardening tasks, ensuring that the environment is aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained.
Your key responsibilities will include planting & plant care, weeding & ground maintenance, lawn care, tool & equipment maintenance, soil management, and assisting with landscaping projects
What you'll need
A qualification in horticulture or landscaping (e.g., RHS Level 1 or 2) is a plus, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of gardening tools and equipment.
Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
Good attention to detail and an interest in plants and landscaping.
Ability to work collaboratively with others, take direction, and communicate effectively with both the gardening team and visitors.
Willingness to take direction and learn from senior gardeners.
Basic knowledge of plant species and their needs (sunlight, soil type)
PA1 & PA6 spraying certification
Chainsaw certification (preferred)
Where you'll be based
The estate is based close to Wickhambrook, West Suffolk
What you'll receive
Salary dependent on experience
Working full time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
28 days annual leave
