Manufacturer of electro-mechanical components and enclosures, utilising over 50 years of experience, they continue to lead the market in complete enclosure solutions.

The job

As Buyer you will be responsible for the purchase of goods and consumables in a timely manner in, ensuring that prices are continuously monitored and negotiated with Suppliers and that contracts are regularly reviewed and maintained accordingly.

You'll run the MRP weekly and raise the required purchase orders and ensuring that any purchase order is authorised, as well as reviewing demand and ensuring that any minimum stock levels remain relevant.
You'll raise any purchase orders for consumables or overheads as requested.

What you'll need

Experience in a purchasing or procurement role
Good IT skills including MRP systems and Microsoft Office
Effective management and prioritisation of tasks
Strong attention to detail
CIPS desirable but not essential
An understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies a bonus
Driving licence and transport due to location

Where you'll be based

The offices are based on the outskirts of Mildenhall, Suffolk

What you'll receive

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
37.5 hours per week, over either 4 or 5 days (Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday)
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
