The Bildeston Crown is a 15th century former coaching inn and 3AA Rosette restaurant set in one of the historic Suffolk ‘wool towns’. Part of the Nedging Hall Estate, a wider group of local hospitality venues with exciting growth ambitions and environmental and sustainability targets.

The job

In the brand new role of Bar Manager you will be responsible for taking a leading role in the management of the bar, creating an unrivalled guest experience by using your exceptional front of house/hosting skills to welcome guests upon arrival. You’ll manage stock, cellar management, and work with the Executive Head Chef to pair drinks to dishes and complement the seasonal menus. You will be provided with a great deal of autonomy to make the role your own, an opportunity to create a truly excellent bar experience.

What you'll need

An experienced Bar Manager or Supervisor
A strong knowledge of wine, beers, and spirits
Exceptional front of house and hosting abilities
A hands-on mentality, willing to muck-in and help other departments as required
Full UK driving licence due to rural location

What you'll receive

- £28,000 - £32,500 per annum dependent on experience
- Tips equating to at least £3,000 per annum
