The employer
Hoare Ridge & Morris are a team of ten working on projects principally in East Anglia but across the UK. They are regularly included in Country Life and House & Garden magazine listings of the top architects and designers.
The job
You will work as part of a team of ten predominantly on private client projects but also commercial, masterplanning, and institutional work, with clients including Duchy of Lancaster, Duchy of Cornwall and National Trust.
Drawing is principally by Vectorworks but hand drawing is encouraged at all project stages to supplement this. At present they use sketch-up for 3D work, supplemented by hand-drawing. You'll also spend time detailing traditional joinery and collaborating across the team.
What you'll need
Our need is principally for those already established in their careers and with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
Positive energy, a good communicator, efficient, conscientious, courteous and take pride in your work.
An ability to cope with the challenges of site inspections and to get on with builders, contractors and clients is essential.
Interest in sustainability, longevity and beauty
Precision and care, and an eye for detail and proportion.
Good knowledge of building regulations, contract administration and the realities of construction are expected
Experience in detailing traditional joinery is always helpful (and we do a lot of this)
Where you'll be based
Based in a large open plan studio at Snape Maltings
What you'll receive
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum dependent on experience
Working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
30 days annual leave entitlement, inclusive of bank holidays
