The employer
Overlooking the Alde estuary, Snape Maltings is home to our world-famous concert hall and music facilities; it is also a popular visitor destination with independent shops, cafes, a restaurant, event venues and art galleries. The site is now largely owned by Britten Pears Arts, a Music & Arts based charity. Snape Maltings Trading Limited (SMTL) is the commercial arm to Britten Pears Arts.
The job
As Purchase Ledger Administrator you will take ownership and responsibility for the purchase ledger which includes responsibility for entering financial data into systems accurately and efficiently at all times.
You will build strong working relationships with key people within the organisation to assist with swift resolution of queries and also establish strong relationships with the key suppliers credit control function. You'll also provide support to other members of the finance team as required to ensure that financial processes are properly followed.
This role forms part of an established job-share and you will work closely with a counterpart who covers the remaining days, ensuring continuity of service and smooth handovers.
What you'll need
Experience gained within a similar role
Clear, articulate communication skills, verbally and in writing.
Ability to process large volumes of data within strict deadlines and without compromising accuracy
Excellent attention to detail
Driving licence and transport due to location
Where you'll be based
The role is based at Snape Maltings but some travel and support to other locations within Suffolk will also be required
What you'll receive
£25,000 - £27,500 per annum full time equivalent
Working part time 3 days per week (21 hours)
