The employer
A private residence on a small estate of 20 acres
The job
We are seeking a Groundsman/Caretaker for a 15th century property in rural Suffolk or, potentially, a working couple to include a housekeeper. The role is part time c.3-4 days per week overall and includes accommodation.
You will maintain the grounds and gardens, to include mowing, hedgecutting, woodland management, weeding and light gardening. You will also keep an eye on the house and general maintenance as well as oversee contractors and building works. If a working couple, then a day per week of housekeeping would also be required.
What you'll need
Experience in maintaining and managing grounds and gardens
Preferably, experience in facilities management and familiarity with the fabric of a building
If a couple, an experienced housekeeper alongside the above
Trustworthy, organised, and proactive
A genuine appreciation for living in the countryside and caring for a beautiful home.
Driving licence and transport due to rural location

The property is based close to the village of Brundish, a quiet but friendly community
What you'll receive
£25,000 - £28,000 per annum as a salary
Accommodation in the form of a two bedroom cottage in the grounds. Ideal for a couple seeking a peaceful rural lifestyle.
