Retreat East is a luxury retreat and boutique hotel, comprising of individual barns for guest accommodation, restaurant, spa and events.
The job
As Junior Sous Chef you will be working in a strong brigade under a creative Head Chef where you will be doing lots of hands-on cooking and learning. You'll occasionally run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and Sous, exposure that will help you in your future career.
What you'll need
Minimum of three years experience in a professional kitchen as Junior Sous Chef or CDP ready to step up
Passionate about food, drink, and hospitality
Driving licence and transport due to rural location
Where you'll be based
The resort is based close to the A14, within easy reach of Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Framlingham, and Diss.
What you'll receive
£32,000 per annum plus tips equating to c£3k
Full time employment, working 45 hours per week on a rota basis
Working 5 days from 7, either split shifts or long days
28 days annual leave
