A long established and reputable building company, with their office located in Suffolk– Specialising in Conservation, historic restoration, and the construction of high-end buildings. With a strong team of directly employed tradespeople, a professional management and surveying team, all with a vast experience and excelling knowledge of building.
The job
As a Junior Construction Manager, you will work closely with the management team to gain an understanding of all areas of the business throughout the project lifecycle.
You will receive on site experience of live projects, the opportunity to gain excelling knowledge and experience, working alongside skilled trades. You’ll learn all aspects of construction management, including site management, contracts management and commercial management/quantity surveying & estimating skills. As your skills and understanding of the business develop you will become an integral part of the management team, eventually overseeing your own projects as a contract’s manager/surveyor, with scope for future progression.
What you'll need
Enthusiasm and passion for conservation, restoration, and high-end building work/skills.
A degree in construction management or surveying, other qualifications such as ONC/HND/BTEC/NVQ would be considered based on the persons experience to date.
A thirst for learning and developing your own career within a small to medium sized construction company.
Experience gained on site or within a management team to date, through development, would be an advantage.
The ability to understand building skills and technical design information/documentation.
A proactive mindset and a problem-solving attitude.
Strong communication and team skills.
Commercial awareness and business aptitude.
Competency with IT skills and good organisation skills.
A Full UK driving licence.
Where you'll be based
Projects are based throughout East Anglia, including Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire & parts of Essex.
What you'll receive
£27,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
Employed role (permanent contract)
