Home of colour and drama since 1953 , The Bressingham Gardens and Nursery are born of the passion and dedication of three generations of the Bloom Family.
Originally created on grazing farmland to display the Blooms of Bressingham Nursery perennial plants, the gardens today feature over 8000 species and varieties of plants in six linked gardens over 17 acres of breath-taking views and endless inspirational ideas throughout the year.
The job
As Lead Gardener you will hold responsibility for maintaining the Bressingham gardens, including the Dell Garden and the Alan Bloom Collection, to the highest of standards. You'll lead and manage a team of three full time gardeners as well as c.15 volunteers, whilst actively recruiting and training further volunteers.
You will be a unifying force within the gardening team, acting as a central figure in aligning the team's efforts with the overarching vision, creating a positive and productive work culture that reflects in the gardens' vibrancy.

What you'll need
Experienced horticulturalist with exceptional plant knowledge
Ability to manage a team of skilled gardeners
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to attract, engage with, and lead a team of volunteers
Where you'll be based
Bressingham Hall is located west of Diss, close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border
What you'll receive
£33,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
Full time employment working 7:50am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Irrigation on a rota basis during summer months
23 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
