Retreat East is a luxury retreat and boutique hotel, comprising of individual barns for guest accommodation, restaurant, spa and events.
The job
As Head Chef you will lead the Retreat East kitchen, creating a delicious and nutritious brasserie style menu from the organic kitchen garden, complemented by award-winning Suffolk producers from our favourite local artisan suppliers.
You'll prepare delicious, high-quality brasserie style food that delights guests, whilst leading the kitchen to deliver a positive environment, a safe and clean kitchen, and controlling costs, stock, and wastage.

An experienced Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
A passion for delivering excellent food
Harbourer of a positive work environment where the whole team can thrive
Strive for excellence in an enthusiastic and motivated manner
Take initiative and make decisions that put the customer first
A desire to succeed in your role and develop your brigade
Previous experience working in a hotel kitchen an advantage
Driving licence and transport due to rural location
Where you'll be based
The resort is based close to the A14, within easy reach of Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Framlingham, and Diss.
What you'll receive
£45,000 per annum plus tips equating to c£4k
Full time employment, working 45 hours per week on a rota basis
Working 5 days from 7, either split shifts or long days
28 days annual leave
