The employer
A busy restaurant within a popular boutique hotel with an excellent reputation for it's food
The job
As Head Chef, you'll oversee all kitchen operations, leading and inspiring a brigade of 14 with a calm and encouraging management style. Duties to include rota management, ordering, chef recruitment and development, ownership of hygiene compliance. You'll have full autonomy of kitchen operations, working to a group-wide menu strategy. This role would suit a current Head Chef or an experienced Sous looking to step up.
What you'll need
A passion for cooking high quality food, preferably to a two AA rosette standard
Experience as a Head Chef, or an experienced Sous Chef looking to progress
A hands-on and lead-by-example work style to deliver an exceptional performance and guest experience
A commitment to developing staff to their full potential
Understanding of wider hotel operations and how they may effect the kitchen
Where you'll be based
The restaurant is in a prominent location in the centre of Ipswich
What you'll receive
- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on experience
- Performance bonuses based on delivery (c.£2-3k)
- Gratuities (c.£150-£200 pm)
- 48 hour working week, working 5 days from 7, no splits
- 28 days annual leave
