The 4-star award-winning Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort is situated in 300 acres of rolling countryside, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The hotel offers 80 contemporary hotel bedrooms and a wide range of facilities including; the a la carte Lakes Restaurant, two 18-hole Championship golf courses and driving range, six function rooms offering superb views over Constable Country ideal for weddings, celebrations and conferences, and hi-tech Peake Fitness facilities.

The job

As Head Chef you will lead and manage two kitchens for the main hotel restaurant, bars, and lounges, and for large scale conference and banqueting. You will lead by example, operating a clean and efficient kitchen which has recently been refurbished and continues to be invested in. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef on menu development and help to establish the resort as a dining destination.

What you'll need

Experienced Head Chef from a large hotel, resort, or banqueting background
Experience of catering for large functions and leading a multi-kitchen environment
Ability to lead, motivate and train a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
Full UK driving licence due to location

Where you'll be based

The resort is located close to the Suffolk/Essex border, 20 minutes from Colchester and 30 minutes from Ipswich

What you'll receive

£52,000 - £57,000 per annum dependent on experience
Working 48 hours per week 5 days from 7
