The restaurant has recently achieved 3AA rosettes and has undergone extensive renovations, including a state-of-the-art kitchen.
The job
Having built up a fantastic reputation since reopening, including achieving 3AA rosettes, The Angel Inn is now embarking on the next chapter in its journey and we are seeking a Head Chef to build a new brigade around and move the business forwards. You will be tasked with embracing the new direction of classic cuisine, working with the newly introduced menu. You'll receive full support and encouragement from management to let your creativity flourish within this remit. You will be able to build your team almost from the ground up, with strong salaries available across the board to achieve this. What you'll need
Proven experience as a Head Chef with a passion and commitment to classic cuisine
Exceptional man-management skills with a lead-by-example style
Excellent culinary skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to lead, motivate and train a team.
Commitment to fostering an enjoyable working environment, with an emphasis on having fun whilst achieving your objectives
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
Where you'll be based
The Angel Inn is based in the charming village of Stoke by Nayland in Suffolk, close to the Essex border, commutable from both Colchester and Ipswich
What you'll receive
- £55,000 - £60,000 per annum package, with generous base salary, gratuities, and bonuses
- Full time employment working five days from seven 48 hours per week
- 28 days annual leave
