As the Trowel & Hammer's first General Manager since reopening you will be responsible for day-to-day front of house operations, business administration, and the overseeing of all food & beverage operations. You'll lead and inspire staff, encouraging their ideas and contributing your own to further embed the pub at the heart of the village.

The pub is still in its infancy under the new ownership but has already begun establishing itself as a vibrant and busy place, with regular events, a pub quiz, and excellent, honest, reasonably-priced food from our very experienced head chef.

You'll complete typical GM duties including sorting rotas, stock and cellar management, and managing an established staff who will support you as you take the pub from strength to strength. There are also two apartments above the flat which are rented out for short stays, and you will manage the bookings and upkeep of these.
