The job
As Farm Finance Manager you will control the finances of a portfolio of enterprises for one client, undertaking a hands-on role with the support of one part-time member of staff. Using your extensive experience you will produce management accounts, prepare and oversee budgets, cashflows, and costings, VAT preparation, payroll, general administration, HR, and health & safety.
In addition, you will be involved with improving efficiencies across the businesses, working closely with the owners to identify and implement areas of improvement and cost-saving. There is an opportunity for further commercial input to the right candidate.
What you'll need
Qualified Accountant, either ACCA, AAT4, equivalent, or qualified by experience
A passion for organic farming and the rural lifestyle would be an advantage
Experience of working for multiple clients at once or multi-company set ups
A commercial mindset and ability to contribute to the wider businesses
Self-starter, able to prioritise workload
A full UK driving licence due to rural location
Where you'll be based
You will be based in the farm office on the outskirts of Kelsale, Suffolk
What you'll receive
£25.00 - £30.00 per hour on a self-employed basis
16-24 hours per week depending on your requirements
Flexibility on how hours are worked, i.e. 2 or 3 full days or spread over 4 or 5 days
