Estate Gardener

The employer

A private estate comprising lawns, flower beds, and an are of woodland.

The job

You'll be solely responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the gardens. You will spend two days per week weeding, pruning, planting, hedge-cutting and maintaining the garden, with an additional day of mowing during the summer months.

What you'll need

A passionate horticulturalist with experience of country house gardening preferred
An excellent timekeeper who is reliable and trustworthy
Ability to take instruction to complete necessary tasks, while remaining proactive and setting your own work
Experience using horticultural machinery
Self-starter able to prioritise own workload
Chainsaw Maintenance/Crosscutting and PA1/PA6 strongly desired
A Full UK driving licence and your own transport.

Where you'll be based

The estate is based close to the village of Debenham, Suffolk.

What you'll receive

- £16 per hour, working on a self-employed basis
- Working three days per week from May-October, and two days per week for the remainder of the year
- Stunning working location in the Suffolk countryside
