C.E. Davidson are a long-standing family business engaged in a variety of agricultural activities, including farming, property holdings, and the construction of poultry sites - their primary business activity. The company employs over 50 people from the local area, many of whom have spent their entire career with the company.
The job
As CAD Technician you will create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers, using CAD software to produce accurate, detailed and to-scale drawings. You'll liaise with customers and other areas of the business to understand design requirements and ensure drawings are compliant with industry, and health and safety standards and protocols. You'll produce working drawings for use in all stages of the project including customer approval, quotation preparation, planning applications and construction
What you'll need
Experience using AutoCAD essential, SketchUp experience desirable
Basic knowledge of construction principles
Ability to create and read technical drawings
Good attention to detail
Good communication skills
Effective organisation and time management skills
Ability to transfer, display and manipulate your work using Microsoft Office and other programmes
Ability to problem-solve and to come up with creative and innovative solutions to design problems
Driving licence and own transport due to rural location
Where you'll be based
The modern offices and yard are based in a rural location close to Stradbroke, Suffolk.
What you'll receive
£27,000 per annum
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm with 1 hour lunch
Life insurance (after 1 year of service)

29 days annual leave including bank holidays
