The employer

The inhouse building and construction team of the Heveningham Hall Estate, encompassing Sibton Park Estate and Wilderness Reserve, a collection of exclusive-use country houses, luxury holiday cottages, and off-grid boltholes spread over a privately owned 8000 acre country estate. Wilderness Reserve is a long-term conservation and restoration project - protecting English nature and breathing new life into historic properties. It is unlike anything or any place you’ve ever been before.

The job

A newly created role as a result of the growing pipeline of work being undertaken on the estate, you will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping including bank payment runs, reconciliations/accruals/prepayments/deferrals/intercompany payments, overseeing the accounts payable and accounts receivable function, quarterly VAT reporting, creating monthly management packs, and contributing to audits.

As a new role, there will also be an expectation for you to design and implement systems, controls, and reporting - a real opportunity to make the job your own.

What you'll need

A real self-starter and ability to prioritise own workload
Experience in a similar setting, with knowledge of CIS reporting & submissions, project reporting, subcontractor due-diligence, risk analysis, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A Full UK driving licence and your own transport.

Where you'll be based

The offices are based in Yoxford, just off the A12

What you'll receive

- £25,000-£30,000 per annum (employed) dependent on experience

- Full time working hours of 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday
