Pump Street Bakery offers outstanding bread and handmade pastries, all made daily by a small, close-knit team of bakers. The intimate café serves up sandwiches and savouries, alongside directly traded artisan tea, coffee, and their own single farm drinking chocolate.
The job
As Assistant Shop Manager you will take a senior role in coordinating the day-to-day functions of opening the bakery shop, café and chocolate shop, taking overall control in the absence of the Shop Manager.
You will oversee the production of food in the bakery shop - maintaining and monitoring HACCP, schedules and stock, and product quality. You’ll help to lead, motivate, and develop the team to deliver the highest standards of quality and service, leading from the front, serving customers in the bakery shop and being very hands-on.

Experienced supervisor from the hospitality or food retail industry
Exemplary levels of customer service and guest experience
Thrive in a fast-paced environment
Engaging personality with a can-do attitude
Driving licence and transport due to location
Where you'll be based
The bakery is situated in the village of Orford, on Suffolk’s heritage coast.
What you'll receive
£27,000 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience
Wednesday - Sunday 7am-4pm working week
28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
