The employer
A diverse, family-run group of farming businesses in rural Suffolk, including traditional arable farming, a broiler chicken farm, a solar park, and a production and branded selling business.
The business grows Wheat, Barley, Rapeseed, Parsley, Peas, Maize, Borage, Sugar Beet as well as managing irrigation on some lighter soils.
The job
As Farm Worker you'll utilise your experience in key areas such as fertiliser spreading, drilling with Mzuri and Avatar direct drills, and you'll be keen to expand the technology of RTK guidance alongside Omnia field management.
Driving a combine at harvest will be a key part, as well as general ploughing, power harrow, loading lorries, workshop maintenance of own machines, and being part of a forward thinking team to achieve great crops together.
What you'll need
Experience on large arable enterprises
Experience operating a variety of farming and agricultural machinery
A full UK driving licence due to rural location
Where you'll be based
The farm is based closed to the village of Heveningham, Suffolk
What you'll receive
£38,000 - £40,000 salary per annum dependent on experience
Core hours are Monday to Friday 7am – 4.30pm with the expectation of remaining on site until the job is completed.
