Accounts Assistant

The employer

Award-winning building contractor, specialising in high end restoration and historic refurbishment work throughout East Anglia.

The job

You will work closely with the Office & Accounts Manager to perform accountancy and bookkeeping tasks as your primary role, as well as Health and Safety file assistance, general office & project administration, and much more. This is an important and integral role to the business, and we pride ourselves in providing a professional work environment and longstanding employments.

What you'll need

Extensive accounts administration experience in the construction industry
Familiarity with Sage accounting software
Experience with CIS reporting and reverse VAT an advantage
Experience with the formation of Health and Safety documentation, assisting a contracts/projects team.
Experience with IT and general project filing
A self-starter, able to prioritise your own workload
A hands-on mentality, willing to pro-actively engage with colleagues and to provide assistance as required
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. A Full UK driving licence

Where you'll be based

Our head office is near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, close to the A14, making it simple to commute to.

What you'll receive

£30,000 - £32,000 per annum dependent on experience
Employed role (permanent contract)
Monday to Friday working week, 9am-5pm working hours
31 days annual leave (including bank holidays
