An established group of luxury hotels and restaurants across Suffolk
As the Training & Development Chef for the group you will play an integral role in group strategy and be crucial to the training, development, recruitment, and retention of the kitchen teams.
You will work with the Training & Development Manager to create the chef training and development strategy and take a lead role in its implementation through training, mentoring, and supporting apprentice chefs. You'll develop relationships with our Head Chefs and kitchen teams, alongside schools and colleges as we look to embrace the future generation of chefs. You'll be happy to work across our training centre, training kitchen, and hotel locations as required. Although there will still be an expectation to work five days from seven, you will not be running service and can expect a schedule that is more forgiving than most Head Chef roles.
What you'll need
Experience in a training & development role within a kitchen brigade
Operational experience as a Head Chef in a hotel or restaurant
Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene standards and legislation
Ability to devise and deliver training sessions to groups of employees
Strong planning and organisational skills
Flexibility to work across all locations
Where you'll be based
You will be based from the location nearest to your home, with regular travel expected to all hotels.
