Retail Trade Account Manager


The company

Adnams is a regional brewery producing cask and bottled beers, wines, and spirits as well as operating ten properties in the Suffolk Coastal region.


The job

As Retail Trade Account Manager, a new role within the business, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand the retail trade business within Suffolk & Norfolk. You'll work in conjunction with retail store managers to share market data used to identify and secure new trade accounts whilst continuing to provide support and growth opportunities to the existing account base. You will be responsible for monitoring competitors and market trends and ensuring GPs and product mixes achieve the desirable profit results. 


What you'll need

Strong interest in and exceptional knowledge of beer and wine

Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to generate long-term business partnerships

Proven experience of devising and implementing sales strategies

Effective negotiation and closing skills and be able to work under own initiative and with limited supervision.

Driven, results focused and motivated to achieve and exceed KPI’s

Full UK driving licence


Where you'll be based

The offices are located in Southwold, Suffolk, where you will spend one day per week, with at least 3 days spent out on the road visiting existing and potential clients in Suffolk and Norfolk


What you'll receive

- £30,000 - £33,000 per annum basic salary dependent on experience

- Car allowance of £7,000 per annum (mileage paid at 25p per mile)

- 42 hours per week permanent employment
