Retreat East is a luxury retreat and boutique hotel, comprising of individual barns for guest accommodation, restaurant, spa and events.

 

The job


As Restaurant Manager you will manage all aspects of the Great Barn, the central restaurant which is at the heart of the venue. You'll lead by example and train & develop your team to ensure exceptional service delivery. You'll manage the restaurant and bar team and be responsible for staffing and scheduling, and take responsibility for stock control. You'll work closely with the chef and events manager to ensure a seamless operation and take a lead on all food & beverage.

 

What you'll need


Minimum two years experience in a restaurant supervisor, assistant manager, or manager position

Passionate about food, drink, and hospitality

Ability to lead and motivate your team

A knowledge of wine pairing desirable

Flexibility to adapt to different service styles, including formal dinner, relaxed lunch, breakfast, afternoon tea, and event catering

 

Where you'll be based


The resort is based close to the A14, within easy reach of Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Framlingham, and Diss.

 

What you'll receive


- £35,000 per annum plus tips

- Full time employment, working 40-48 hours per week on a rota basis

- Working 5 days from 7 - no split shifts

- An opportunity to grow with the business as it expands

- 28 days annual leave
