The company


An authentic plantsman’s nursery & arboretum established in Suffolk for more than 30 years with one of the largest ranges of commercially available ornamental and native plants in the country and curators of an extensive botanic collection. They specialise in large specimen trees and shrubs with a commitment to supplying genuine English grown and English provenance native trees & hedging.

 

The job


A truly diverse role, working closely with the owner to not only complete administrative tasks such as diary management, journey planning, general PA work, but to engage in creative discussion regarding business direction, contributing to and implementing new ideas and revenue streams, running small internal projects, researching and approaching new clients (not sales, a soft approach including letter-writing and introduction). Being able to work autonomously with little direction is paramount to the success of this role, but it is certainly one to get your teeth into!

 

What you'll need


Organised, proactive, and efficient administrator

A creative mind, able to contribute your own ideas to the conversation

Ability to forge ahead and implement ideas with little to no assistance

Real passion for the outdoors, nature, wildlife and the environment, and be comfortable in an agricultural type office setting

Exceptional IT skills

Self-starter able to prioritise own workload

A Full UK driving licence and your own transport due to rural location

 

Where you'll be based


The nursery is based on an old farm in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, a truly idyllic location in Campsea Ashe, just outside Wickham Market.

 

What you'll receive


- £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (pro rata) dependent on experience

- Employed role (permanent contract)

- Working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (shorter days considered)

- Stunning working location in the Suffolk countryside
