The company
Wilderness Reserve is a collection of 28 exclusive use Cottages, Barns, Farmhouses and Manors, remotely located throughout an 8,000 acre private estate of rolling pastures, lakes and woodland. These together with a number of events for corporates, romantic retreats, celebration parties and a limited number of weddings, attract guests from all over the world (we expect over 20,000 guests in 2024).
The estate has focused on enhancing English nature for the past 30 years and have improved their habitat with the restoration of existing woodland, planting of new forests, restoring numerous ponds, building new lakes, planting tens of kilometres of hedges and reverting several thousand acres of arable into pastures.
The job
As Maintenance Manager you will oversee planned and reactive maintenance works of the 28 Wilderness Reserve houses, as well as the 70+ let properties across the estate with a multi-trade team of operatives.
What you'll need
Standards driven and detail-orientated
A firm but inspiring leadership style
Experienced maintenance professional or multi-trader
You must be a team player with a willingness to attend out of hours emergency call outs when required
Commercially minded
A Full UK driving licence and your own transport
Where you'll be based
The estate spans 8000 acres, from Heveningham to Sibton to Yoxford.
What you'll receive
- £40,000-£45,000 per annum dependent on experience
- Full time employed contract
- Ownership and contribution to the on-call rota
- 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
