Farm Secretary/Bookkeeper

Heveningham, Suffolk


The company


A diverse, family-run group of farming businesses in rural Suffolk, including traditional arable farming, a broiler chicken farm, a solar park, and a production and branded selling business.

 

The job


As Farm Secretary, you will be working closely with the owner to have full financial oversight of the groups businesses, whilst maintaining a hands-on approach with the support of two part time staff members. Using your extensive experience, you will produce management accounts, prepare and oversee budgets, cashflows, and costings, VAT preparation, preparing R&D tax credit submission, reconciling balance sheets and data entry, reconciling RHI and FiT meter claims, year end accounts, and more.

 

What you'll need


Experienced bookkeeper and farm secretary, qualified to at least AAT level 3

Ability to lead and manage a small team

Self-starter, able to prioritise workload

A full UK driving licence due to rural location

 

Where you'll be based


The modern farming office is based in a rural location close to Heveningham

 

What you'll receive


- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

- Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm

- Free onsite parking

- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
