The company

The Froize is a privately owned rustic, rural restaurant close to the historic town of Woodbridge and delightful village of Orford which plays host to many events, workshops, and masterclasses centred around music, nature, and the arts. Current events include monthly live music 'Folk at the Froize', and 'Froize Uncovered', a calendar of carefully curated nature walks and workshops.


The job

As Events & Marketing Assistant you will work closely with the owner on raising the profile of the already popular events side of the business. You'll engage in creative discussion regarding future events and contribute to and implement ideas for expanding the offering - there are ideas aplenty but we need a little help putting them into practice. You'll likely spend c.10 hours per week (two short days) on these activities, as well as marketing, promoting, organising, networking, and anything else that needs doing! You'll be comfortable with all forms of marketing, including digital, print, and good old fashioned picking up the phone and talking to people.

Workshops are typically held during the day, with music events held on a Sunday evening - when events are taking place you'll be working extra hours to ensure all goes off without a hitch, whilst mucking in with the rest of the team wherever you are needed.

This is a truly unique role for lovers of the Suffolk Coast, music, nature, and the arts.


What you'll need

A personal interest in music, nature, or the arts (preferably an interest in all!)

Confident user of social media platforms and content creation for website etc.

Background in marketing or event coordination would be a huge advantage

Super organised and excellent admin skills

A willingness to muck in with the wider team during events, front of house, behind the bar etc. we have a tight-knit hard-working team and it is important that you slot right in

A Full UK driving licence due to location


Where you'll be based

The Froize is based in the village of Chillesford, close to Woodbridge, Suffolk.


What you'll receive

- £14 per hour

- Employed role (zero hour contract) typically 10-20 hours per week on a flexible basis

- Preferably working on a Thursday plus one extra day, with additional hours for events
