The company

A plant production nursery and arboretum with one of the largest ranges of commercially available ornamental and native plants in the country and curators of an extensive botanic collection and holders of the Plant Heritage National Santolina Collection. They specialise in large specimen trees and shrubs with a commitment to supplying genuine English grown and English provenance native trees & hedging.


The job

A very rare opportunity to join a company with a fantastic product and market-leading reputation in their field, and take ownership of the commercial aspects of the business. You will be responsible for the efficient running of the sales office, line managing a small team to oversee the end-to-end process from initial enquiry through to delivery, dispatch or collection, while maintaining exemplary customer service throughout.

You'll work closely with the Nursery Manager to obtain accurate data to ensure the in-house database efficiently manages stock control, as well as produce in-house catalogues, and assist the Accounts Manager with project cost analysis, while overseeing the supply purchases process and invoice clearance.


What you'll need

Extensive experience managing a sales administration process

An effective leader, with experience of line-managing, supervision, and coaching of staff

Exceptional organisational skills - a super-administrator

A love of the outdoors and happy to work in an agricultural-like environment

A self-starter, able to pick up the role and assume control quickly

An understanding of marketing and the full sales cycle

IT literate with accurate numerical skills

Passionate and dynamic with a desire to grow with the business

A Full UK driving licence and your own transport.


Where you'll be based

The nursery is based on an old farm in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, a truly idyllic location in Campsea Ashe, just outside Wickham Market.


What you'll receive

- £30,000 - £37,500 per annum dependent on experience

- Employed role (permanent contract)

- Working Monday to Friday, 43.75 hours per week between 7:30am - 6pm

- 28 days holiday including bank holidays

- Stunning working location in the Suffolk countryside
