Fritton, Norfolk
The company
Fritton Lake is in the heart of a pioneering thousand-acre Norfolk rewilding project, open for cabin owners, private members and holiday guests only. The Clubhouse is at the heart of Fritton Lake and serves expertly prepared meals Monday to Sunday throughout the year. It’s a friendly and relaxed place, with great service and convivial ambience. In the colder months roaring fires and deep sofas keep it cosy, and when the weather gets warmer there is al fresco dining on the south facing terrace or in the garden.
The job
As Clubhouse Manager, you'll be responsible for providing our members with an unforgettable dining experience. You'll be the face of the clubhouse, welcoming guests and members with a friendly yet confident demeanour and creating a theatre-like experience for diners. You will run the floor during service, upholding standards and liaising with chefs to ensure staff are fully briefed on daily specials.
The clubhouse can serve up to 150 covers in busy periods, regularly doing 120+ for lunch and dinner through the busy season.
Split shifts are limited and you will rarely work over your 48 hours per week. This role will suit a true hospitality superstar, someone who thrives of the organised chaos of a busy service and wants to take ownership over an extremely important role as the business continues to expand. There are impressive plans afoot to expand the F&B offering at Fritton Lake and, in this role, you will play a huge part in the future.
What you'll need
An experienced hospitality leader, with an infectious passion for hospitality
Willing and able to train junior members of staff to reach the high standards you set
Exceptional service delivery standards
Experience in a front of house supervisory role, preferably in restaurant management
An interest and knowledge of wine and pairing wines with food
A Full UK driving licence and your own transport.
Where you'll be based
Fritton Lake is set in unspoilt woodland and lush meadows that surround the sparkling lake at the heart of the club, close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border
What you'll receive
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
- Employed role (permanent contract)
- Bonus scheme up to 10% of salary
- Working five days from seven on a rota basis, typically 48 hours per week with paid breaks
- 29 days holiday including bank holidays
- Stunning countryside working location
