Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper

Saxmundham, Suffolk

A successful and thriving family business based near Saxmundham, operating predominantly as a wholesaler.


The job

As bookkeeper you will take full responsibility for the purchase ledger function of the business, whilst providing support to a second member of the team on the sales ledger. As part of your daily duties you will reconcile supplier invoices with goods received notes and delivery notes; ledger supplier invoices; perform supplier reconciliations; manage the supplier payment process; liaise with suppliers to resolve queries. In addition, there will be some expense management and general administration tasks that fall within the role. 

This is a part time role, working five short days per week, although there is a potential to increase to full time in the future.


What you'll need

- A minimum of five years of experience working in an accounts or bookkeeping role

- Experience with Sage desirable

- Abundant enthusiasm and a desire to be loyal to a company that will truly look after you in return

- A willingness to muck in with whatever is required as part of the wider team

- Good attention to detail and a problem solving mentality


Where you'll be based

The offices and warehouse are based in Saxmundham, Suffolk


What you'll receive

- A salary of £30,000 as a full time equivalent, pro-rata to part time hours

- Working 20-25 hours per week across 5 days, with mornings, afternoons, or school hours accommodated

- Employed role with potential to increase hours in the future
