Accounts Assistant

Easton, Suffolk

The company

A privately owned and managed family business which mentors, finances and supports a small number of start-up businesses within the family portfolio of investments.


The job

You will work closely with the Finance Manager with day-to-day bookkeeping for several small start-up businesses, including ensuring invoices/statements/queries are dealt with in a timely manner, purchase and sales ledger duties, bank and credit card reconciliations - daily, monitoring of debtors & creditors for cashflow, balance sheet reconciliations, and assisting with monthly payroll. Within the small, close-knit team, you will be willing to work as a team, mucking in to get the job done.


What you'll need

Extensive bookkeeping experience

Experience using Xero accounting software an advantage, as well as Stripe/iZettle/PayPal

Preferably AAT Level 2 or equivalent

A self-starter, able to prioritise your own workload

A hands-on mentality, willing to muck-in and help colleagues as required

A Full UK driving licence due to location


Where you'll be based

The office is in a modern barn conversion on the family estate, close to the A12 and a short drive from Framlingham


What you'll receive

- £23,000 - £25,000 per annum dependent on experience

- Employed role (permanent contract)

- Monday to Friday working week, 9am-5pm working hours with 1hr lunch

- Company pension

- 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
