The company


Wilderness Reserve is an 8000-acre estate of woodland, lakes and rolling pasture, sprinkled with an eclectic collection of historic and traditional Suffolk properties. Lovingly restored by artisans, each home has unique character.


From the grand Grade II listed manor house and restored 15th century barn, to charming, thatched cottages and romantic retreats, Wilderness Reserve is a long-term conservation and restoration project - protecting English nature and breathing new life into historic properties. It is unlike anything or any place you’ve ever been before.

 

The job


Michelin starred dining extravaganzas, private dining experiences, fire pit cooking


Our chefs are regularly involved with all of the above, cooking alongside master chefs such as Tom Kerridge, Michael Roux, Angela Hartnett, Jose Pizarro and more, and providing in-accommodation private dining and fire pit cooking to our discerning guests and household name brands in fabulously appointed properties.


Your day-to-day will be working in our state-of-the-art estate kitchen, a commercial kitchen unlike anything else you'll find in Suffolk. Working alongside our superb Executive Chef and established team, you will provide consistently excellent food that exceeds expectations for our guests, corporate events and weddings.

 

What you'll need


A passion for using local produce and creating exceptional dishes

Experience as a CDP, Sous Chef, or Senior Sous Chef

You will excel in providing and delivering an unrivalled dining experience

It is important that you are well-presented and courteous, in order to deliver an exemplary service to our guests.

A Full UK driving licence.

 

Where you'll be based


Wilderness Reserve estate kitchen is based at Halesworth Golf Club. We are confident we have the nicest commercial kitchen in East Anglia!

 

What you'll receive


- £25,000-£38,000 per annum dependent on experience

- Employed role (permanent contract)

- Accommodation available but transport required as not on site

- Sensible working hours - average 50 hour week in summer

- A mixture of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and days, with a guaranteed two days off per week
