The job

We are recruiting a Sous Chef for The Guinness Arms, and a Commis Chef, Chef de Partie, and Sous Chef for the Elveden Inn. Working within recently refurbished kitchens finished to a high standard, you will be part of a close-knit, professional team delivering high-quality, fresh food in popular countryside locations.

Sous Chefs and Chef de Partie will work closely with the Head Chef, contributing to menus, specials, and the smooth running of the kitchen. Commis Chefs will gain hands-on experience in a busy, well-organised kitchen, learning strong foundations and good working practices. Across all roles, you’ll be part of a supportive team pulling in the same direction, with high standards, good organisation, and a genuine focus on quality and consistency.

What you'll need

Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional kitchen
Friendly, punctual, and reliable
A real team player
Own transport due to location

Where you'll be based

The Guinness Arms is located in the village of Icklingham and The Elveden Inn just outside Elveden village both in rural locations.

What you'll receive

£31,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
Share of the tips equating to £200-£300 per month
Working five days from seven, between 40-45 hours per week
