The job
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to join the team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance of the business.
As Finance Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and robust financial controls. Working closely with senior management, the successful candidate will provide valuable financial insight to support business decision-making and operational performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working within a growing SME environment and wants to contribute to the success of a business operating within the renewable energy sector.
You will take ownership of the company's invoicing process, ensuring all customer invoices are raised accurately and promptly, supplier invoices are processed efficiently, and financial records are maintained to the highest standard.
What you'll need
Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience managing invoicing, sales ledger, credit control, and cash flow forecasting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems including Xero and Simpro
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Keen to embrace new technologies, including AI tools
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the business.
Experience working within a growing SME environment.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Positive and collaborative team player.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Committed to continuous improvement and delivering high standards.
Where you'll be based
The offices are based in Woodbridge, Suffolk
What you'll receive
£45,000 per annum
Full time, working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
